Challenges and contributions to the debate on ethical issues in the classroom: an experience based on PIBID UCS Philosophy

Throughout the text it’s pointed out aspects that evidence the relevance of the ethical debate in the social context and they link this debate to the possibility of the presence of the philosophical ethics as a school curricular component. In a justification of the debate on ethical dilemmas in the classroom, the work developed by the PIBID-Philosophy/UCS and the didactic-pedagogical strategies used to promote the better learning of ethics. The starting point of the article is the presentation of ethics as the deliberative process of the human being in society. This leads to questions about the formative possibilities of this subject, emphasizing the role of the subject of Philosophy, which has in ethics one of its curricular components. In this context the PIBID experience is approached as a stage of teacher training - here, focusing on the Philosophy teacher. It is with this set of elements that the article presents possibilities for the performance of the teacher, in Philosophy, when attending curricular components linked to ethical training.
