ADOPTION OF DESIGN THINKING IN THE GENERATION OF SOLUTIONS IN AN INNOVATION LABORATORY:
THE TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN A PROFESSIONAL MASTERS DEGREE
Keywords:
InnovationAbstract
This article seeks to present the results of innovation proposals articulated throughout the process of adopting the Design Thinking approach for an Innovation Laboratory linked to the professional master's program of a Federal Higher Education Institution (IFES). To this end, documentary research was carried out on artifacts developed during the immersion, ideation, and prototyping stages of Design Thinking, and four categories related to innovation solutions were identified to make the laboratory more effective: appropriation of the innovation theme by students entering the professional master's degree; projects submitted to the program with an institutional and innovation nature; results of projects developed in the professional master's degree; and resources and processes to support the Innovation Laboratory. These categories of innovation proposals proved to be complementary. They can direct efforts to make the Laboratory more aligned with institutional demands and consistent with its mission of disseminating a culture of innovation in the organization.
