Abstract

The Eduardo Ribeiro Fair is a cultural meeting point that attracts both residents and visitors interested in gastronomic and cultural experiences on Sundays. This study aims to assess whether the fair complies with the basic requirements of good food handling practices and to analyze aspects such as hygiene, prices, accessibility, product quality and the cultural experience provided. The methodology used was qualitative, based on on-site observations and analysis of secondary data. The results show that the Eduardo Ribeiro Fair plays an important role in valuing regional culture and integrating tourism and local development. However, challenges remain in areas such as infrastructure, management and food handling, which require improvement in order to increase the impact and promotion of the fair. In addition, greater promotion of the space is needed to consolidate its relevance as a tourist and cultural attraction. Thus, the fair has significant potential for strengthening the creative economy, provided that strategies are adopted to overcome the challenges identified and promote the continuous improvement of its practices.
