PRÁCTICAS ESG EN ECOTURISMO:
UN ANÁLISIS BIBLIOMÉTRICO

La revisión bibliométrica sobre ESG (Ambiental, Social y Gobernanza) y Gestión en Ecoturismo o Áreas Naturales Protegidas reveló avances significativos en la literatura y señaló temas prometedores para futuras investigaciones. Aunque el concepto de ESG surgió en 2004, la atención académica al tema en el contexto del turismo se ha intensificado en los últimos cinco años. La investigación en gestión destaca por su énfasis en la preservación y conservación de los ecosistemas, la fauna y la flora. Por el contrario, los estudios ESG se centran en los indicadores financieros y la competitividad del mercado. Aún existen pocos estudios que combinen o comparen estos dos términos, especialmente en lo que respecta al Ecoturismo o Áreas Naturales Protegidas. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo enumerar el avance de la literatura en ESG y Gestión en Ecoturismo o Áreas Naturales Protegidas y señalar escenarios potenciales de investigación a través de una revisión bibliométrica. La investigación, de carácter básico, adopta un enfoque exploratorio y descriptivo para profundizar el conocimiento sobre estos temas. Los datos fueron analizados mediante el software VOSviewer y Microsoft Excel, que permitió la creación de gráficos, tablas y figuras. Sin embargo, la investigación enfrentó limitaciones, como la búsqueda de términos exclusivamente en inglés y en una única plataforma, Scopus Preview.
