Civil construction is one of the most important economic activities for the human development. For historical reasons, the methods used in the development of the construction were not planned with a focus on ensuring the employees' safety and health. This landscape results in an unattractive work environment, prone to accidents and a path of consequence motivates absenteeism, loss of productivity, temporary and permanent disability and fatalities. To reverse this scenario, organizations require new approaches to ensure expected performance. The objective of the research is to map the international literature on the theme Risk Management of Occupational Accidents in the Construction Industry through the construction of the Literature Map and by identifying future research opportunities based on the perception of researchers. For this purpose, the Intervention Instrument Knowledge Development Process-Constructivist (ProKnow-C) was used. The Bibliographical Bibliographic Portfolio - BP was composed of 25 papers. The results revealed the identification of four clusters as perspectives or strategic areas: (i) Work Safety Policy, (ii) Behavioral Aspects, (iii) Work Safety Practices and (iv) Performance Evaluation. These themes established the theme of BP according to Zipf's Law. For these themes, 18 topics were identified to operationalize them, in addition to identifying the already consolidated knowledge and knowledge still to be developed, i.e., knowledge gaps or research opportunities.
