Seguridad de los turistas LGBTQIAPN+

Resumen

Este estudio examina cómo los artículos académicos en revistas de turismo abordan la seguridad de los turistas LGBTQIAPN+, un grupo que abarca diversas orientaciones sexuales, identidades y expresiones de género. A través de una revisión sistemática de revistas de alto impacto seleccionadas con base en el índice h de Google Scholar, analizamos publicaciones en inglés, portugués y español para asegurar una amplia cobertura de este tema. Los hallazgos indican que, si bien la literatura de turismo LGBTQIAPN+ explora con frecuencia los perfiles, comportamientos y estrategias de marketing de los turistas, las preocupaciones específicas de seguridad están subrepresentadas, especialmente para las siglas de identidad menos visibles. El análisis destaca una brecha significativa en la literatura, centrándose en los aspectos económicos y de comportamiento que pasan por alto la seguridad y el bienestar holísticos de estos turistas. Este estudio concluye que se necesita una investigación más inclusiva para abordar de manera integral las cuestiones de seguridad, fomentando prácticas que aseguren la protección y la bienvenida de toda la comunidad LGBTQIAPN+ dentro del sector turístico.
