The Social Responsibility of the Ethnic-Cultural Movement of Ijuí/RS [Brazil] in the training, socialization and inclusion of young citizens

Abstract

This research deals with the importance of culture and ethnic movements in promoting social responsibility, socialization and inclusion of young people. The objective is to analyze the contribution of the ethnic-cultural movement in Ijuí and the region in Rio Grande do Sul [Brazil], in the field of Social Responsibility, in the inclusion and socialization of young citizens. The study, of a qualitative and descriptive nature, used interviews with leaders and members of the ethnic groups of the Union of Ethnicities [UETI] to understand how the entity acts as a transformative agent in society, helping individuals of different ages and socials classes. The research explores the evolution of the concept of social responsibility in typical houses linked to UETI, discussing its application in the context of cultural organizations. The results show that the participation of young people in ethnic groups positively impacts their personal and professional lives, proving the relevance of the movement in the training, socialization and inclusion of these citizens. It is concluded that UETI stands out for promoting a more cultural, inclusive and civic-minded society with the participation of different social actors.
