Abstract

Many attractions, corresponding to the places where Roman Law was applied and developed, are still preserved and available for visitation, both in Rome and in places that hosted its former provinces. This paper aims to propose an Itinerary for a Study Trip of Roman Law in Loco. Bibliographic research was performed on Travel in Antiquity, Archaeology and Roman Law, in addition to the search and organization of attractions associated with the theme. As result, the proposed itinerary includes numerous attractions in Italy, especially Rome, Tarquinia, Spoleto, Assisi, Ostia, Tivoli, Arpino, Herculaneum, Pompeii, Naples, Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Benevento, Sorrento, and Capri. It is concluded that the realization of short lessons on Roman Law at the selected attractions offers potential to be proposed as a study trip so the on-site experience may configure an original and relevant contribution.
