Turismo y hospitalidad regenerativa
un estado crítico de la cuestión desde un análisis bibliométrico

Regenerative tourism and hospitality, aimed at restoring socio-ecological systems, have gained increasing relevance in both academic and professional spheres. This study presents a descriptive bibliometric analysis of the literature published between 2020 and 2024. The corpus, consisting of 26 documents, was established through a systematic review guided by PRISMA and SPAR-4-SLR (Paul et al., 2021). The main objective is to map recent production, identify themes, key actors, and knowledge gaps in order to inform the research agenda. The search was conducted across various academic databases and repositories, applying criteria of thematic relevance, full-text accessibility, and languages (Spanish, English, and Portuguese). Metadata —year, authorship, affiliations, countries, journals, keywords, and citations— were extracted and organized into a dataset. The results indicate sustained growth in scientific production. The linguistic distribution is heterogeneous: English 57.7%, Spanish 38.5%, and Portuguese 3.8%. The bibliometric analysis, combined with thematic coding supported by ATLAS.ti, revealed clusters around regenerative development, systems thinking, biodiversity, and transformative experiences. Countries such as New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Colombia, and Germany have consolidated as hubs of production and collaboration. Despite this growth, knowledge gaps persist in the operationalization of regenerative hospitality and the definition of verifiable indicators. It is concluded that the field is in a consolidation phase, with theoretical and methodological convergences still under discussion. Future research is encouraged to advance in the development of metrics applied to hospitality and destinations, as well as in strengthening dialogue with recent global standards.
