Abstract

The article on the following pages explores the connections and points of interaction between the multiple career paths followed by Erico Verissimo as a writer, editor and translator, also exploring the internationalizational aspect of the publications of translations of his works in a foreign language. To this end, methodological assumptions from comparative literature and literary historiography are used, which culminate in a work that deals with historical, geographical and analytical aspects of Erico Verissimo's literature in translation. The article intends to understand the intertwinings that guided Erico Verissimo's international career as well as to quantify the writer's international experience (as far as possible) taking into account the available data on the translations of his books made by Minchillo (2013), adding a missing title, the lost translation.
