Abstract

This article aims at presenting a study on the concepts of language, teaching and learning according to different epistemological views and the implications of these assumptions on the educational practice, more specifically on the teaching and learning of foreign languages.  This overview is intended to provide teachers with the opportunity to reflect on these issues and on their pedagogical practices.
